Alpenglow Biosciences Announces ESDR 2026 Lunch Symposium on 3D Dermatopathology

Alpenglow Biosciences is pleased to announce its lunch symposium at ESDR 2026 in Heidelberg, featuring PD Dr. med. Sandra Schuh from the Department of Dermatology and Allergology at University Hospital Augsburg.

The symposium, titled “3D dermatopathology of inflammatory and neoplastic skin diseases,” will examine how three-dimensional imaging can expand the study of complex skin pathology beyond individual tissue sections.

Conventional histology provides essential information, but a single section captures only a small part of the tissue. By preserving structures across depth, 3D imaging can provide additional spatial context for examining disease architecture, cellular organization, heterogeneity, and relationships between pathological features.

During the session, Dr. Schuh will discuss the application of 3D dermatopathology to inflammatory and neoplastic skin diseases and consider how intact-tissue analysis can support a more complete understanding of skin disease biology.

Symposium details

Title: 3D dermatopathology of inflammatory and neoplastic skin diseases
Speaker: PD Dr. med. Sandra Schuh
