Dinner Lecture
- The Future of Spatial Biology:
Looking beyond a single slide -
April 18th
6:00 to 9:00 PM PT
Union Kitchen and Tap Encinitas, San Diego
Join us for an evening of insightful discussion and fine dining at the AACR 2026 Dinner Lecture.
This year, the focus is on the future of spatial biology and how moving beyond single-slide analysis toward intact 3D tissue is reshaping our understanding of tumor architecture, cellular interactions, and spatial heterogeneity.
Our keynote speaker, Jared Burks, PhD, Director of the Advanced Cellular and Tissue Imaging Core at MD Anderson Cancer Center, will share his perspective on advanced imaging and how tissue-scale data can drive translational research and therapeutic development.
Jared Burks, PhD, is an Associate Professor and Co-Director of the Flow Cytometry and Cellular Imaging Core at MD Anderson Cancer Center.
He leads the development and implementation of advanced imaging technologies, including multispectral microscopy, mass cytometry, and live-cell spinning-disk confocal imaging.
His work focuses on mapping the spatial organization of cells within the tumor microenvironment to better understand functional interactions and support translational cancer research.
He has also played a key role in bringing high-dimensional, tissue-scale imaging capabilities to MD Anderson, enabling researchers to generate more comprehensive spatial insights from clinical samples.
