Eligibility & Submission Requirements

Video Submission

Submit an MP4 video showcasing your best Light-Sheet result.
Maximum length: 1 minute

Sample Type

Any biological sample, or a biological sample with an inserted material. Pure material samples without a biological context are ineligible

Who Can Enter

  • Core facilities and research groups worldwide from academia or industry.

  • Each group may submit up to two entries.

  • Alpenglow affiliates are not eligible.

The top 8 entries face off in a group stage and knockout rounds, leading to one final 3D Imaging World Cup champion.

Scoring Criteria

Scientific Innovation

Up to 100 points for novel methods, first-in-class biology, or spatial findings that shift paradigms

Scored on tissue volume and voxel size, up to 100 points.

Number of Markers

Up to 50 points based on total distinct markers imaged.
